Following the completion of the Midget level of Minor Lacrosse (ages 15 and 16), male and female players enter Major Lacrosse. In The Province of Alberta The Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League governs Major Lacrosse.
Major Lacrosse consists of the Senior Division, for players over the age of 21 years who still want to play competitive Lacrosse and Junior Division, for players between ages 17 and 21 years old.
There are 5 Junior Divisions within The RMLL: Junior A, Junior B Tier 1, Junior B Tier 11, Junior B Tier 111 and a Junior Ladies Division. Teams enter The RMLL at The Junior B Tier 111 level and progress accordingly. All levels require commitment, skill and a desire to continue learning the game of Box Lacrosse.
The Grande Prairie Junior Team began in 2009 and is a Junior B Tier 111 going into our second season.
We are excited at the possibilities of moving up to a Junior B Tier 11 team during our 2010 season.
